On Sunday, our church will be singing the Cantata "More Than a Carpenter." This musical presentation is based on a book by Josh McDowell. The words to the music as well as the narration are very powerful. The cantata hasn't been difficult to learn, but it will be beautiful when our 25 person choir sings it.
Our church has had a rocky road the past two years. It has been difficult for many to feel worshipful on a Sunday morning. But there's one line from the cantata that, to me, is the crux of the entire Easter worship experience. Here it is:
"Oh church, come stand in the light. Our God is not dead. He's alive, He's alive!"
